Good Neighbors Make Good Fences
Good Neighbors Make Great Fences

Adding a good fence to your home does more than reference Robert Frost. It can shape the outline of your land, safely protect pets and small children, add an artistic quality, and provide needed privacy. And in tough real estate times, the right fence is often the tipping point for a sale. Good Neighbor Fence Company caters to all different properties in a multitude of styles. While David Dutton of Good Neighbor Fence Company has been installing fences for more than 20 years, he still finds ways to update fence construction and keep the product fresh. The latest addition is the use of solid plastics in fencing. The popular brand Azek – noted for durability for house trim – has jumped into the fence market.

The Azek trim can be bent and glued together, which makes it much easier to use. “It doesn’t have any grain or knots or defects,” Dutton explains. Additionally, no special tools are needed to work the material. “We can create almost anything,” says Dutton. There are also Azek mouldings, which have the same look as the trim and can sometimes be heat formed to created curved details.

Traditional designs with new materials.
This solid plastic material is the next step in fence building because it looks like wood, but has the benefit of being resistant to mold, insects, moisture, and other problems that usual fences face. With its strong resilience, these fences continue to look new for years no matter the weather or conditions. Another low maintenance quality is the material’s ability to uphold paint. Acrylic paint works well and won’t need to be constantly repainted, saving time and money.

“The bottom line is that the product doesn’t rot and is easy to work with,” says Dutton. Whether you’re in need of a fence for a particular reason, or you’re just looking to add some aesthetic beauty to your yard, Good Neighbor can easily and happily take care of any job – large or small.
