Sea Spa Salon
A Summer Sanctuary

By Karla Araujo

As the Island grows busier, savvy residents and visitors seeking some “me time” make their way to Sea Spa Salon, a quiet haven in downtown Edgartown.

Created by visionary stylist Salissa King, a Nashville native-turned-Islander, Sea Spa offers a complete menu of hair care, nails, facials, waxing, peels, body wraps and scrubs, massage, airbrush tanning, and make-up services, including bridal consults and wedding packages.

“We focus on finding innovative, eco-friendly product lines made by companies that give back to the world,” Salissa explains. From L’Oréal Professionnel hair color to Decléor aromatherapy face and body products, Salissa says she carefully vets all of her product lines to select only those that meet her stringent standards.

Open daily in the summer, the Sea Spa’s experienced stylists, massage therapists and estheticians work their magic six days a week in the off-season as well. A tip from Salissa: Be sure to ask about special offers.

Tucked unobtrusively inside the Vineyard Square Hotel & Suites (formerly the Colonial Inn) on North Water Street in Edgartown, Sea Spa Salon provides a serene respite from the hustle and bustle of the Vineyard summer.
